Images of Malta

Our time in Malta and Gozo provided the opportunity to put a number of images of Malta together in this gallery.

We hope the gallery captures the range of architecture and landscapes we encountered on our trip. Malta tends to be a place that is often overlooked by people seeking time in the sun. However, other people’s loss is your gain as it really doesnt disappoint. It is an island with so much to offer and there is more than enough to keep you busy for at least a week if you are keen on moving around the island.

Photographic Opportunities

Valletta, the capital, is a small compact city with plenty to see and do, especially because it was European Capital of Culture in 2018. It is steeped in history since the 16th century and has become one of the most concentrated historic areas in the world. It is packed with museums, monuments, restaurants and shops. The centre is mainly pedestrianised and is built on a grid system and easy to find your way about.  We felt the amber coloured limestone and contrasting blue skies make for great photo opportunities.
