Images of Rome
What a melting pot the city of Rome is. It simply has more history than you could possibly wish for. As a result, putting together this gallery with images of Rome proved difficult. Mainly because it was as hard to decide what photographs to leave out as what ones to put in.
The Eternal City
Rome, the capital of Italy, has so much to offer as a busy city. Its top attraction however has to be the wealth of Roman history. It simply blows you away. Immerse youself in the Roman Forum. Listen to stories of Julius Caesar’s assassination. Imagine he gladiators in the Colosseum. The history comes to life so easily. Rome is packed with historical detail at every turn. Add in the Vatican, amazing architecture, fountains and piazzas and you are absolutely spoilt for photographic opportunities. With a vibrant nightlife as well you have enough to see and do to keep you out of mischief for quite some time. Fortunately, Rome has a fairly compact centre which makes it relatively easy to pack in a lot of sightseeing in a short time. Your feet are hard worked however and its definately one for the trainers rather than the sandals. But so worth it.
