Images of Iceland
Iceland, the land of fire and ice. These images of Iceland record our 3 day visit in the month of November.
Daylight hours are limited at this time of year as a result of Iceland’s latitude. The weather wasnt kind to us either with rain and bitterly cold winds. The first snow of the year had also fallen. Despite this we were still able to take in the sights in the capital, Reykjavik and the surrounding area known as the Golden Circle with its geysers, steam vents, and waterfalls. Most of Iceland’s energy comes from its natural resources which was fascinating. We were lucky enough to get an insight into the type of arrangements they have in place.
We were even able to get a glimpse of the Northern Lights through a short break in the clouds one night. It was an enticing insight into what Iceland has to offer. One day we look forward to returning for a longer visit when hopfully the weather will be kinder to us. A seven day visit should do it. This would be sufficient time hire a car and tour the island in ore detail.
Iceland Gallery
The gallery aims to capture the essence of Reykjavik and the surronding area. Hopefully you’ll enjoy looking through the photos as much we did taking them. If you are looking for a photo of somewhere in particular that isn’t there let us know and we can check for you.
